Volvo's Executive package offered on the S80 sedan, the company's top-of-the-line model. Volvo's S80 Executive features ventilated leather seats that have a massage function as found in other large luxury cars like the Mercedes-Benz S Class. The S80 Executive also has leather covered door panels and leather on top of the instrument panel, in either espresso brown or black. Thick carpeting is offered in the S80 Executive as well as a stylish looking analogue clock. One notable feature that remains optional is a rear-seat fridge that adds even more to the sense of luxury and exclusivity of Volvo's flagship model.

Volvo's other special edition package is offered on the popular V70 wagon. The V70 can now be ordered with the R-Design package, which adds distinctive features to the car.

The V70 R-Design has diamond cut 18-inch wheels, revised front-end styling, and integrated LED turn indicators on the door mirrors. Inside, the V70 R-Design is outfitted in unique black leather trim with contrasting white accenting, plus black floor-mats with contrasting stitching.

Both the S80 Executive and the V70 R-Design feature Volvo's Sensus infotainment system which employs a five- or seven-inch colour display.

While both the S80 Executive package and V70 R-Design package have a rather small list of equipment features, Volvo says there is a desire amongst its customer for such options.

cars are designed around the growing number of people who appreciate the possibility of tailoring their cars to suit individual tastes. The Executive version of the S80 radiates exclusive luxury while our R-Design models are developed for buyers who want an extra sporty look," said Lex Kerssemakers, the Senior Vice President Product Strategy and Vehicle Line Management at Volvo Car Corporation.

Volvo's R-Design package is also offered on the C30, S40, XC60, and XC90. All of the R-Design packages have a similar list of equipment features, which help distinguish the vehicles from the base models.©(Copyright Canadian Auto Press)]]>
